Radio Programming 15th February 2017 @ Rougham

After a very successful club meeting in January which saw many new faces turn up and prospective new licensees. We are happy to say the new year has started with a bang. With many more exciting evenings yet to come this year.

Following on from a few conversations with members at the January meeting, it has been deciced that we will be holiding a Radio Progrmaming session at our next meeting in February.

Will be able to help you programme your Baofeng, Hytera, Tytera, Some Yeasu and Icom rigs.

Please comment below if you have any specific requests and we will prepare to assist wherever possible. If you have a PC with software installed and would like to share your experiences, please bring this along as we will have high speed internet access available during the evening.

    I can also help out with this.
    I can program
    Baofeng UV3R
    DMR handhelds, of theTyt MD380/390 genre ie the Retevis
    DStar rigs of various types, but not sadly 2820 as you need a manufacturers made cable

    I have a Baofeng UV-5R and would be interested to see how that can be programmed with software. I’ve got a couple of repeaters I’ve added manually, but it would be great if it could add descriptions, etc.,

    Also interested in seeing how other radios can be programmed. Someone remarked at the last meeting that the Baofeng wasn’t unique in being obtuse and difficult to program, and my only prior experience of radios has been the Realistic HTX-202 and an old Motorola 2M rig that had pre-defined channels.
